The Art of Animation Resort opened in 2012 as the newest Value Resort at Walt Disney World. It boasts over 1,000 rooms and suites for guests to choose from.

In comparison, the original Value Resort, Pop Century, has over 2,000 rooms and suites. So which resort has the bigger rooms?

The answer is a little bit complicated. The Art of Animation Resort offers three types of rooms: standard rooms, family suites, and The Lion King suites. Standard rooms feature two queen beds or one king bed and can sleep up to four people.

Family suites are larger and can sleep up to six people with two bedrooms, each with one queen bed and a living area with a double-size sleeper sofa and one twin-size convertible chair. The Lion King suites are even larger and feature two bedrooms with two queen beds each and a living area with a double-size sleeper sofa.

The standard rooms at the Art of Animation Resort are slightly bigger than the standard rooms at Pop Century. The Art of Animation’s family suites are much larger than Pop Century’s standard room but slightly smaller than Pop Century’s family suite. The Lion King suites at the Art of Animation Resort are much bigger than both Pop Century’s standard room and family suite.

In terms of amenities, both resorts offer similar features such as in-room Wi-Fi, TVs, phones, microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioning units, hair dryers, ironing boards/irons, coffee makers, safes for valuables and complimentary toiletries.

Conclusion:

Overall when comparing room sizes between Art of Animation Resort and Pop Century Resort it depends on which type of room you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a standard room then the Art of Animation is slightly bigger than Pop Century’s while if you’re looking for something more spacious then you should opt for the family suites or Lion King Suites at the Art of Animation which are much bigger than anything offered at Pop Century.
