Audrey was born on May 4th 1929 in Brussels, Belgium. She had a passion for performing from a young age and studied piano, singing, and ballet.

She took dance classes at the Arnhem Conservatory of Music, Dance and Drama in Holland when she was still a teenager. It was there that she learned ballet technique from choreographers who had trained with the great Russian dancers of that era.

In 1948 Audrey moved to London to pursue an acting career and enrolled at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). While at RADA she continued to take classes with some of London’s best ballet teachers. This allowed her to further develop her technique and style as a dancer.

In 1953 Audrey made her big break with the release of Roman Holiday. Her performance earned her an Oscar for Best Actress in 1954 which propelled her into stardom overnight.

During this time she began working with renowned choreographers such as Michael Kidd on films like Funny Face (1957) and The Unforgiven (1960). This allowed Audrey to showcase even more of her dancing skills on screen as well as off-screen during award ceremonies or interviews.

By the mid-1960s Audrey had become one of Hollywood’s most beloved stars but was ready to move away from acting into retirement. Despite this decision she still remained active in various charitable organizations around the world which included teaching children ballet classes in impoverished areas. She used what she had learned during those years of study to give back by teaching others about ballet and its values .
