Did Jennifer Lopez Do Ballet?

Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic figures in entertainment. She has made a name for herself with her impressive musical and acting career, as well as her fashion sense. But many people don’t know that she was also a dancer before all of her success.

Lopez started dancing when she was just five years old, studying ballet, jazz, and hip hop. She continued to hone her skills until she was 18, when she attended the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. There, she took classes in modern dance, jazz dance, and tap.

Lopez eventually moved on to become a professional dancer for the hip-hop group Fly Girlz in 1991. She then appeared as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson’s 1993 world tour and later for other music videos. From there, she continued to build her dance career by appearing in stage productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Grease!

Lopez was able to use her dancing skills to land an acting role on the Fox TV show In Living Color in 1993. She then went on to star in several movies including Selena, Out of Sight and The Wedding Planner before becoming an international superstar with her hit single “If You Had My Love”.

Although Lopez has not done any serious ballet performances since high school, it is clear that this form of dance had a major influence on her life and career. Even today, Lopez still incorporates various hip-hop moves into her performances which can be traced back to her days of learning ballet as a child.

In conclusion, it is clear that Jennifer Lopez did do ballet during her formative years and this style of dance had an impact on the rest of her career. Her early training in classical forms such as ballet have allowed Lopez to develop into the successful multi-talented performer we know today.
