The answer is yes! The White House has had a movie theater since 1942, when President Franklin D. Roosevelt had one installed during his time in office.

It was initially used for press conferences and presidential speeches, but soon after its installation it began to be used as a private family theater. During the Nixon Administration, it was updated with modern technology and renamed “The Family Theater”.

Today, the White House movie theater is still used by the President and his family for private screenings. It features state-of-the-art technology including 3D projection capabilities and an ultra-high definition 4K projector. The theater can accommodate up to 50 people and includes seven leather chairs for comfortable seating.
