How to Play Modern Art the Card Game?

Art|Modern Art

Modern Art is a card game that combines strategy, luck, and negotiation. It’s great for 2 to 4 players and takes about an hour to play. The goal of the game is to become the wealthiest art collector by buying and selling works of art during auctions.

The game starts with each player receiving a starting amount of money, usually 20 million francs. The number of cards dealt is based on the number of players in the game. Then each player is dealt five cards from the deck which contains a mix of paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints by various artists from across different eras.

On their turn, players can either buy up to two cards from an auction house or sell up to two cards from their own hand. When buying or selling artwork at an auction house, players will use their remaining money to make bids against one another in order to win the artwork they desire or receive the highest possible price for their artwork they are trying to sell. Players also have the option to pass on any turn if they do not wish to buy or sell anything at that time.

When a player buys artwork they must pay all other players who had bid on that artwork as well as pay the auction house a commission fee depending on how much they bid. After all payments are made, if any money remains it gets added back into the player’s stash. After a sale has been completed at an auction house, all artwork goes back into a central pool and any remaining funds go back into a bank account for use in future auctions and sales.

Once all five cards have been bought and sold by each player, then scoring begins. Points are awarded based on how many pieces of artwork one owns by each artist; with more points being awarded for having more pieces from one artist in particular as well as higher quality pieces from that same artist as well as different artists altogether!

At this point in time it is not uncommon for deals and trades between players in order to maximize their scores before final scoring takes place; however there is no requirement for any sort of trade or deal between players before final scoring begins!

The player with the most points at the end wins Modern Art!
