Michelle Visage is an iconic singer, TV personality, and drag queen. She is best known for her appearances on the show RuPaul’s Drag Race as a panelist and judge.

Many people may not know that Michelle Visage was also a ballet dancer when she was young. She began her training at the age of seven in North Jersey and continued to pursue it until she graduated high school. Visage went on to study dance at Montclair State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in dance performance.

Throughout her ballet career, Michelle Visage competed in various competitions such as New York City Ballet’s School of American Ballet, The Washington Ballet School, The Joffrey Ballet School, and The Rock School for Dance Education. She also danced with the New Jersey Ballet company for one season before joining the Broadway production of A Chorus Line in 1992.

However, it wasn’t until after leaving A Chorus Line that Michelle Visage made a name for herself with Seduction and other television appearances throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Despite no longer being professionally involved in ballet, she still stays connected to her roots by taking classes at Steps On Broadway when visiting New York City.
