The Joffrey Ballet is an iconic American ballet company that has been performing for over 60 years. It was founded in 1956 by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino in New York City, and has since grown to become one of the premier ballet companies in the world.

The Joffrey Ballet has a rich history of performing works from all styles of dance, from classical ballet to modern and contemporary pieces. This diversity is reflected in their repertoire, which includes works from renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Martha Graham, Jerome Robbins, and Twyla Tharp. The company currently consists of 60 dancers who come from all over the world. They rehearse and perform at venues across the United States, including cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Boston, New York City and more. In addition to their international tours throughout Europe and Asia.

The Joffrey Ballet is currently led by Artistic Director Ashley Wheater who joined the company in 2007 after a long career with The Royal Ballet in London. He is responsible for overseeing the artistic direction of the company while also creating new works for their performances. Under his leadership the Joffrey Ballet has become an even more diverse organization that produces innovative ballet performances that move audiences around the world.

In addition to Ashley Wheater’s leadership role at the Joffrey Ballet there are also a number of other administrators that work hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly within the organization. This includes Executive Director Greg Cameron who joined the team in 2017 after previously working with organizations such as The Royal Opera House in London and San Francisco Opera Company; Company Manager Scott Benson who ensures that all dancers are prepared for performances; Sound Engineer Matt Radermacher who helps create high quality audio recordings for each show; Production Manager Robert Buell who oversees sets designs; Financial Director Kimberly Glover-Mandeville who manages finances; Marketing Director Jesus Moreno who creates campaigns to promote performances; Costume Designer Christine Darch who creates costumes for each performance; Rehearsal Directors David Hochoy and Cameron Basden who lead rehearsals; Education Director Sarah Cullen Fuller who oversees educational programs for young dancers; Public Relations Manager Rachel Brasko-Brennan who helps secure press opportunities; Staff Accountant Lauren Saffran Smallwood who manages payrolls and more.
