Are Spandau Ballet Still Together?

Ballet

Spandau Ballet is an English band that was formed in London in 1979. The band is best known for their string of hits in the 1980s, including their signature song “True” which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart. They have also had a successful career in the United States, where they achieved two top 10 albums.

In 1982, Spandau Ballet released their biggest album to date, True. It featured the single “True” which reached number one in the UK and number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The album was certified double platinum in both Britain and America. The follow-up single “Gold” was also a success, reaching number two on the UK chart and number 18 on the US chart.

After a successful run of albums and singles in the 1980s, Spandau Ballet began to make changes to their sound. In 1988 they released Heart Like A Sky which featured a more orchestral-based sound than earlier material. The album peaked at number 12 in Britain but failed to make an impact elsewhere.

In 1999, Spandau Ballet announced that they were breaking up after 18 years together. Following this announcement, members Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp and Steve Norman reunited for several live performances throughout 2009 and 2010. In 2014 they announced that they were reuniting again and released a new album entitled Once More.

Conclusion:

Spandau Ballet are still together today after reuniting in 2014 following an 18 year break-up. They have released several successful albums since then and continue to tour around Europe and North America.
