Will Spandau Ballet Tour Again?

Ballet

Spandau Ballet, the English New Wave group, first formed in 1979 and rose to fame in the 80s with their mix of funk-inspired new wave and soul. The band was one of the most successful bands of the decade and had a string of international hits including ‘True’, ‘Gold’ and ‘Through the Barricades’.

The band went on hiatus in 1990 but reformed in 2009 for a reunion tour. The tour was a huge success and it seemed like Spandau Ballet were back for good. However, after their last show in Dublin in 2011, they went on another hiatus.

Since then, there have been rumours that the band would be reforming for another tour but nothing has been officially confirmed. Lead singer Tony Hadley has been quoted as saying that he would be up for it but guitarist Gary Kemp is less keen. He has said that he is more focused on his acting career these days and doesn’t want to commit to a full-on tour.

It seems unlikely that Spandau Ballet will tour again any time soon but they have not ruled out the possibility completely. Fans are still hoping that one day they will get together once more and bring their classic hits back to the stage.

Conclusion:

Whether or not Spandau Ballet will tour again is still up in the air, as there have been no official confirmations from any members of the band. While fans are still hoping for a reunion, it looks like it may be some time before we get to see them live again.
